The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

A robot vacuum/mop combination is the ideal solution for pets that shed fur. This machine can mop, vacuum and clean its own dual mop pad.

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model that is wet-dry is fitted with Ecovacs' upgraded AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system, which offers improved mapping and obstacles avoidance. It uses dual-laser LiDAR -- similar to what you'd find in self-driving cars -- and can scan an area of up to 32 feet by 270 degrees. This results in more precise mapping as well as faster response time and better cleaning accuracy.

It also has a rotating mopping pad constructed of chenille fabric, which makes it much easier to scrub difficult areas as opposed to traditional mopping. In my testing the X2 Omni took just over an hour to wash its pad and begin work, and I noticed that it was much more accurate than previous models that seemed to follow a gridded path around rooms. It was adept at navigating my rooms with its corners and edges as well as create a "Zambani pattern" across the center of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station on a regular basis to empty the trash bin and clean the mop with hot water prior to beginning another task of cleaning.

The X2 Omni is as simple to use and set up as other Ecovacs products. Snap the dock into position then plug it in and pair it with Upgrade Your Cleaning Game with Roborock Q7 WiFi network at home. It takes just a few minutes. Then, you can launch the app and begin with your first cleaning task. I was able to dig into the settings and robot vacuum mops modify my floor plan in about 15 minutes, incorporating zones that are restricted for mopping and sweeping, reworking my wall-mounted furniture placements, and more. The X2 Omni impressed me during my tests. It scored high in the areas of pet hair removal and debris removal. It also had near-perfect results for edge and crevices cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The T10 Omni from ECOVACS is an extremely powerful mopping and vacuum machine. It is the most sophisticated of the T-line offered by the company and features the brand new OZMO Turbo2.0 mopping system that uses dual-spinning brush for better cleaning than conventional scrubbers. It also has YIKO, which is a natural language processing system that is the first of its kind. This allows it to respond to a variety of voice commands. The ECOVACS App lets you design your home, create cleaning schedules and modify settings.

The most significant issue with the T10 Omni is that it's not able to switch from mopping to vacuuming in a single run. The two modes require that you attach and remove the mop heads as needed which is great for most homes but not suitable for people who lead busy lives.

However, the Deebot T10 Omni is a fantastic robot vacuum that delivers outstanding results in our tests for pet hair. It removed more than 96% debris from our hardwood floors. This is a fantastic performance. It did a great job on carpets and tiles cleaning up the majority of dirt.

This robot vacuum and mop has a large docking station which offers cool water auto-cleaning for its mop pads, automatic emptying into a 3L bag that's simple to replace, and hot air drying for quick and simple maintenance. It also has a large tank of water that allows it to be rinsed and dried more frequently between mopping sessions.

The Deebot T10 features an integrated wash tray into its base, similar to other mopping robots. It makes use of the wash tray to rinse and dry its mop pads while using them. However, it doesn't come with a removable tray, meaning that dirty water dust, dirt and other grime builds up in the bottom of the tray over time.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

This is the first mopping model from Anker which is well-known for its robot vacuums. It is equipped with upgraded intelligence and support for multiple maps, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that adjusts automatically to the type of surface you're cleaning. It's a mid-range robot cleaner that's stylish even if the claim of being a one-stop-shop for floor cleaning doesn't quite be realized.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be an ordinary robotic cleaner from the top. It has a circular shape with sweeping wheels, and a raised sensor area. However, flip it over there's an electric floor brush as well as a single side sweeper brush which pushes dirt from the edges into the main pathway of the robot's'mouth'. It's a little smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba S9 which I found made it easier to reach under couches and chairs.

The mapping system is quite sophisticated and allows you to set no-mop zones, as well as specific cleaning zones. It has a tendency of hitting objects, including its own charging station, and isn't great at climbing over carpets. It did a good job of picking up pet hair on bare floors, though, and during our tests, it was able to pick up 89.5% of kitty litter, which puts it ahead of all but the strongest robots we've examined.

The X8 Hybrid is controlled via an app, but it also has a set of physical buttons at its base. These buttons let you choose the cleaning mode, or turn the robot off/on. These buttons can be used to create no-go areas and look up maps in real-time. It's also a bit chatty, and will tell what it's going to do next (start cleaning) or alert you if something is wrong.

4. ILIFE A4s

This model is high-tech and sucks up pet hair, kibble, and other debris with top-notch efficiency and maneuvers flawlessly around furniture legs. It comes with a set of features that is impressive, which includes two cleaning modes and an automatic docking station, and real-time obstacle avoidance technology. The device that is Wi-Fi-connected can be controlled best through the Neato App which schedules cleanings and maintenance needs are monitored. The X2 Omni is an excellent choice for homes that have a hardwood carpet and floors, but it requires some advance planning to avoid getting stuck on electrical cords, toys, or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

In our hardwood floor and kibble tests the robot performed very well and was able to take everything from a single grain of rice up to many pieces of dog food in one pass. It had some trouble with rugs however, generally speaking the vacuum cleaner is perfect for large rooms that have different flooring types as well as a mix of pets.

The A4s Pro is expensive, but it's a great option for those who wish to to leave the house without hands so that they can take on other tasks or do chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that increases suction to get rid of difficult dirt or spills. It also includes a battery-powered ElectroWall to set boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly model from a well-known brand is the cheapest robot we've tested yet and offers an incredible value for price. Its navigation system is based on a very basic random pathing algorithm and it lacks the ability to map rooms. This is why it's less effective than the other models on this list. However it's still able to navigate under furniture and into corners and its mopping feature was very effective in our testing, picking up stray pet hair and other debris effortlessly.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ might not be as sturdy however, it's better in cleaning pet hair off all surfaces. It does a better job of cleaning carpets with low piles and bare floors. It also uses intelligent-pathing navigational software to improve mobility. It can be sent to a specific area, and includes a variety of advanced automation features, including no-go zones and schedules. It also lets you to pause and resume cleaning sessions which is ideal for households with pets.

The self-cleaning brushroll eliminates tangles and can carry up to 30 days of dirt. It also has an assortment of side brushes that are angled to go deep into corners, and its multi-stage filter system is able to capture dust, dander and allergens for a cleaner air.

This vacuum feels solid and well-built. It works with a smartphone app which lets you alter its vacuum settings and schedule cleaning times in advance. The app also lets you see the iQ's remaining battery life and also receive push notifications for any problems it encounters during its cleaning process. You can use your voice to control it with an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device If you don't have either of those devices, you can mark areas with physical boundary strips.

The iQ excels at cleaning bare floors, and does well on carpets that are sagging and low-pile. However it doesn't provide the same level of autonomy as our top selections. It's also expensive and the cost of recurring use can increase.
